My phone does not see my sim

I got my Manjaro Pinephone about a month ago now when they first shipped this edition. I didn't really care for Phosh so I flashed KDE and have been doing updates almost daily. Early on the phone recognised the sim and I was able to both make and receive calls on KDE. Although the updates are progressing nicely, and many things are working as they should, my phone has not recognised my sim now for the last couple of weeks. This is the same sim that I run in my daily driver. Any ideas??

Hold the power button down for 20 seconds and then see that "fixes" it

In general after updates always reboot; sometimes twice.

For general wonkyness hold the power down for five seconds

Last resort 20 sec power button hold and hope.
