Samsung 970 Evo SSD drives

The Wiki table for NVMe compatible drives lists the 970 EVO as failing, possibly due to heavy power requirements. is this still correct and current?

Has anybody tried Adata SSD's?

it seems current. there is talk of a different nvme drive adapter with power support for power hungry drives from the manjaro folks, but have not seen that, yet. i think intel and wdc nvme drives are most commonly used.
