  Ubports not resizing to drive
Posted by: Some_Dood - 02-09-2020, 12:43 AM - Forum: UBPorts on PinePhone - Replies (9)

When writing the image to both my sd card or the emmc on my pinephone, ubports will not resize the file system to use the whole storage device. Instead it creates a 3.7gb partition with the rest as unpartitioned space. This results in me having no space to install or download anything. I have been playing around with fdisk and I just cannot get it to resize the partition to use the entire drive. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

  cpu governer
Posted by: mamboman777 - 02-08-2020, 08:15 PM - Forum: General Discussion on Pinebook Pro - Replies (5)

I'm running Manjaro on a pinebook pro.  What are your thought on cpu governer.  Should I use schedutil for day to day or ondemand.  Also, if I'm going to use this for recording pro audio, should I set the CPU to "Performance" or would I see no improvement from schedutil/ondeman.

Thanks!
-Josh

Another question, the fastest frequency available to the cpupower-gui data 1.48mhz. is that correct?

Exclamation Firmware/Keyboard Failure on ANSI PBP
Posted by: Jeremiah Cornelius - 02-08-2020, 05:46 PM - Forum: Pinebook Pro Hardware and Accessories - Replies (1)

I had a complete freeze and failure on ANSI PBP while running a Debian dist-upgrade (Bullseye).
The system now boots to login, including with stock MrFixit, but there's no keyboard or trackpad input of any kind - this includes USB KB inserted any stage, prior to or after boot.

I've tried different SD, eMMC, and disconnecting nvme. This occurred with a modified image, but KB problems are present on stock image from SD and original u-boot.

One of my eMMC images was quick enough with original uBoot, to allow me a capture of multiple firmware load failures - however I'm at a loss as to spotting what might be incidental and what is catastrophic:

  Kill switches
Posted by: blicken - 02-08-2020, 12:02 PM - Forum: PinePhone Hardware - Replies (2)

Is it safe to switch the kill switches on / off with the phone on?
Or should I shut down, then flip the switch. I stuck my battery in with some double sided tape, Im reasonably confident it wont detach while removing the cover.

what is the 6 pin header ?

There is a 6 pogo pin header just above the kill switches. What is that header? what are the pins for?

  [BraveHeart] Modem not working
Posted by: sanine - 02-08-2020, 11:10 AM - Forum: PinePhone Hardware - Replies (4)

Just got my PinePhone and I opened up the factory tests just to make sure everything works. All the tests pass except for the modem, which either gets stuck on "Waiting for modem" or (occasionally) displays firmware and IMEI numbers but doesn't progress further. I also set up UBPorts on an SD card, which says it can't detect a SIM despite one being present. Does anyone have any clever suggestions of things to try or possible culprits?
