Hi everyone, I was really excited to get my pinephone and am now playing around with it. I popped my sim in but can't get it to make calls on Verizon. Has anyone been able to figure this out? I contacted Verizon and was told that the phone is not support because it is not on their list of non-verizon phones.
I'm looking for a booklet type case for my new PinePhone. I'm currently using the hard case and a glass screen protector, but especially the latter I quite dislike. I prefer to click my phone into a leather case and have a flap protect the screen when it's in my pocket.
Does anyone have experience with an existing case for an existing phone in which the PinePhone can be made to fit?
Things got a bit messed up when I switched to dev 46, so I'd like to start again.
Has anyone flashed an Ubuntu Touch image to the internal eMMC? Would you mind detailing how you did that please? I'll just stick to stable on there for now, and save the experimenting for SD cards!
I noticed that since #45 or #46, the phone would stop charging when full and then slowly go down. If I remember correctly, it started to charge again from about 90%.
Since #47, it does not start to charge again. The result is that the battery would go down to 0%, even when the phone is connected to the charger.

Asking if this is a glitch because I think I remember something similar happening during the BH pinephone preorders
I saw a phosh anx and plasma mr1235 demo image on the PmOS site. I didn't mess with the mr1235 one, cause I prefer phosh, but I tried the phosh anx images. It worked like a lot of the previous post-March phosh images haven't for me, but it has no network in it. Even rfkill only showed bluetooth.
What does the anx version do differently? Or is it a version made for someone specifically? Or is it something really obvious and I'm being stupid?

My rig running Arch has recieved an update for Linux 5.7. While reading online about Linux 5.7, I noticed that a lot of focus was on ARM devices and Pine products. If that is the case, how soon should I expect the update for Manjaro ARM on the PBP and will it solve some issues e.g. suspend.
I am have a screen burn in issue after the device is on for about 10 min. It get worse the longer its been running and after about 20-25 min not usable at all. Once I shutdown and wait a few hours it becomes usable again... I think something is wrong with the monitor compared to everything I have seen online. Thoughts?

I originally intended to help in development but in January I changed jobs and moved home, and I just don't have time to contribute. It a shame to let the phone go to waste.
It is basically untouched. I opened the box and switched on the phone once. Since then it has stayed in its box. It still has the original testing OS installed (the main reason why it was only switched on once).

I like my Pinebook Pro. I want to get a well-working OS on it. It came with the Debian image, and I liked that one. I tried the Manjaro OS, liked that, and installed it. That was straightforward: Flash SD with "Install to EMMC" option, then boot and follow the install prompts. But I have not been able to correct ... something. I get a lot of errors connecting to update software or install software. Following troubleshooting leads me to clear and re-update my mirror list, to clear and redownload keys, and it all leads nowhere. Or to a "Get better internet," which is not possible to me because my network connection is via phone hotspot. So...
I liked the Debian install. In theory I would use the Pine64 Installer, the "Debian Desktop Community Build Image [microSD to eMMC] by mrfixit2001" build, and pop the SD card into my wont-update Manjaro PBP, and it would be the same - Boot, follow prompts, done. But instead it only boots to Debian on the SD card. So. How do I get from this link (https://github.com/mrfixit2001/debian_de...226.img.xz) to some recent version of the Debian PBP OS installed on my EMMC? Is this a time to boot and DD it to the EMMC? I see the narration that "The Pine64 installer will set up an SD card to automagically install" but have not been able to. Help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
When I try to (say) run Pine64 Installer from an SD card in the PBP with intent to target the internal EMMC, I am not able to download the installer - "Disk Full." I can pursue moving it around to different partitions, but don't want to chase the wrong tree.
