I got the Manjaro ARM image as shown on the Wiki, wrote it to the SD card, but doesn't seem to boot up at all.
Code: $ sudo dd if=Manjaro-ARM-minimal-quartz64-bsp-20210830.img of=/dev/sde

after dist-upgrade, terminal is broken |

Running Mobian Bookworm on a Beta edition PP. Yesterday I did sudo apt dist-upgrade, and this morning I notice that the terminal stopped working. I swiped up and tried to restart it, no go, it won't start. None of the programs will start!
Looks like I'll have to go back to an image I dd'd last week, and try again.
Anybody else seeing this? I don't want to upgrade until this is behind us.

NVMe drives not detected |

Hi all,
I've now tried installing 3 different models of NVMe SSD in my PBP but none are detected by the OS (lspci, lsblk, dmesg).
I'm currently working with the Patriot P300 as that was something reported as working on the wiki. I'm using the latest Manjaro on SD. My eMMC is removed as it was never consistently detected at boot.
I'm now planning to order another NVMe adapter as that is an easy/cheap step to try.
If anyone has other more sophisticated troubleshooting steps to try please let me know!
Cheers,
Matt

display blinks on and off when not on charger |

My pinephone came today nice. After unpacking and reading the read me first I opened the back removed the plastic battery tab etc.
After booting I thought I was going blind, the display was so dark it was almost impossible to read. After about 15 minutes of setting up an account, wifi etc in the dark. and searching through an almost unreadable menu to find the brightness control I could see what was on the display.
There was a notice that there were updates; but the phone wouldn’t up date.I installed an app that I use often; but couldn’t log in because the virtual keyboard would not appear.
The battery indicator showed around 70% so I connected it to a charger I use for my other cell phone. After a couple of hours the indicator showed the battery was at 80%. Then I unplugged it the display started blinking on and off. I did manage to put my pin in that didn’t stop the blinking. If I plugged it back into the charger the display would remain on for 10 – 20 seconds then go dark. I have to put the pin in again, even though the energy setting for screen lock and turn off screen are never.
When I unplug the charger there is a sound and then the clock screen I have to put my pin in, then in 5 or so seconds I have to put the pin in again>
There is definitely something wrong with this phone. How do I ship it back for a refund.???

No Display on PBP |

I have a similar issue to some I've seen here, but not identical.
My PBP was working fine two days ago on Manjaro from eMMC, but when I booted it yesterday, I had absolutely nothing on my display.
The LED starts off red for a few seconds, then goes green. The numlock/capslock keys toggle the appropriate LEDs.
I've tried hitting ESC after a few minutes, but still nothing.
I loaded Manjaro KDE to a USB stick. When I boot with it inserted, I get activity on the stick's LED to show that it's being accessed, but still, not even a flicker on the display.
Also no luck booting from SD.
If I had to place money on it, I'd guess that the machine is booting, but the display is dead. Is there any keystroke combination that could have turned off the display? I've already tried Fn + F2 to turn up brightness.
As a followup, I opened up the case and flipped the eMMC switch away from the hinge. At that point, I got ABSOLUTELY nothing, not even the LEDs.
I switched it back and I'm now back to square 1.

I'd like to have a Discord client on Mobian |

I see that there isn't a Discord client under the Software installer nor available at the command line with apt.
Would it be possible to install the .deb directly?
If the source code needs to be ported to Mobian, are there guides for how to go about that? I'm willing to give it a try.
Thank you.
