Kernel 5.15 |

I just noticed that with the Mobian updates installed tonight it looks like kernel 5.15 was installed. Previously the phone was running on 5.13 which I had installed manually.
I was alerted to the kernel upgrade by a popup message after installing updates saying that the /boot partition was full. Checking it I saw the 5.10, 5.13, and 5.15 kernels were there. (I removed the old 5.10 kernel to free up space. Space on /boot is quite limited and old, unused kernels are not purged automatically.)
Running "cat /proc/version" after rebooting confirms that the phone is now running on the 5.15 kernel. Does the new kernel bring any noticeable improvements?

Help request: upgrade failed, locked out at decryption passphrase |

Hi, I'm sad to introduce myself with such a bad issue
I decided to upgrade my mobian pinephone to bookworm. I plugged in the charger, turned off the sleeping options, modified the source lists (mobian to bookworm)
Code: sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/extrepo_mobian.sources
then
sudo apt update
finally
sudo apt upgrade.
After a while, upgrade was still stacked at 0% while the battery was discharging (yes, it was correctly plugged in).
My bad move was to cancel the upgrade by ctrl+z in the terminal (but I think it makes no difference, since the battery was going to die anyway) and restart the device in the hope to fix the issue.
As I mentioned in the title, now I cannot even enter the decryption passphrase.
Is there a chance to bring my pinephone back to life?

Measure pinephone GPU load? |

Hi everyone. Is there any way to read out how busy the GPU is, or see a list of what applications are using it, or indeed check if it is in use at all? I'm trying to understand what apps do and don't use hardware acceleration and I figured that if there were a way to see GPU utilization, that would be a good way to go about it.

good morning.
I would like to use LuckBackup on my PBP.
Maybe I am just dim, but searching with the "add/remove software" gizmo I only find other rsync front-ends.
Do I need to enable other repositories? If so, please tell me how.
Thanks, Peter

Pine A64+ audio POT not recognized |

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to get the Pine64 audio POT board to work with Armbian Focal but without success.
I know it is working with Volumio but I want it to work with Armbian. I've been reading about device trees and overlays but I am lost. Has anyone instructions for a working setup?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Joost

ROCKPro64 DOA |

I bought a ROCKPro64 about a year ago, but have only just taken it out of the box and tested it to find it DOA (Dead On Arrival). I contacted Pine64 sales about getting a replacement and although they replied quickly, they just told me to raise a support ticket, which I did. However, I've been waiting six days without a response and reading other messages here about ROCKPro's being DOA I'm concerned that Pine64 support is non-existent.
I also have a Pinebook Pro that was delivered with two ';' keys and a missing 'H' key - It took months to resolve that problem until they eventually sent me a replacement 'H' key and I managed to pries off the incorrectly positioned keys and replace them in their correct positions. Like everyone else here, I support the objectives of Pine64, but the lack of support and unwillingness to RMA faulty products seriously detracts from their stated objective to create good hackable hardware at affordable prices.
I've tried connecting a USB-TTL adapter to the UART pins on the GPIO connector of my ROCPro64, but nothing is being output: There is only one green LED illuminated on the board, but the NIC led's are on solid. It makes no difference if I have an eMMC chip or SD-card in, but I was hoping to see "uboot" output as I do on the Pinebook Pro over the UART serial lines. Has anyone got advice about how to check if my ROCKPro64 board is dead or not?
Thanks,
Tony.
