I'm not a technical user, but the idea of free and open source software is deep in my heart and i believe in it
I dream about having an foss phone and from time to time i check on the internet about the progress the different projects are doing in this field...

I'm checking out the pinephone pro and i'm very curios
First of all will it work in Israel? i couldn't find any information about the worldwide compatibility
Second of all, i'm a really minimal phone user
I can use my bank web app, i just need calling and sms and web browsing to work
And whatsapp with anbox
So what do you think, can the pinephone pro work for me?

I noticed a problem with making calls when mobile service is 4G. When I tried to make a phone call it ended quickly. When I switched to 3G it worked. On my android phone when I was making calls it automatically switched to 3G every time (only during a call). Is is a carrier thing? Maybe It would be nice to add this automatic switching feature like in android devices.

Could it be possible to access the mobian website without javascript?

I today updated pmos/phosh edge and now I don't have audio. There used to be an "Internal Speaker" option in the audio output of settings|sound, but now the only choice is "Analog Output - sun9i-hdmi." So this means no audio in/out for phone/web/apps/etc.

but that's not the fix this time. Pipewire-pulse doesn't seem to be the culprit. And I can pop in an old SD card with un-updated OS and audio is fine(ish) so it's not hardware suddenly flaking out.

Hi, a few weeks ago I noticed that the chat app on my pinephone isn't getting texts anymore. I can still send them, but not recieve. I'm running mobian phosh on a pinephone beta. I haven't changed carrier or anything, and I haven't really changed anything on the phone. Does anyone know what might be going on?

Hi, I am using Rock64 computers for a product and a few of them are failing in the field.  The symptom is that the computers lock up with a kernel panic (kernel paging request fail) and then do nothing until a power reset is performed.  It seems that the problem is memory related as we have started running memory tests on them and some of them fail the memory tests in as little as 5 minutes or less.  We have tried it with the 1 GB Rock64’s and also with the 2GB Rock64’s and they all exhibit the same failure issues.

Has anyone come across these issues? And is there any workaround or fix for it??

My Pinephone with Convergence package arrived yesterday

I powered it on and the first couple of set up screens worked fine then the screen started flickering with a second fainter image appearing about 1cm above the main image on the screen. (eg the time is shown twice, with the fainter ghost image  above flickering up and down)

I managed to run the updates, and I charged the battery, and I have rebooted several times but it is still  the same

Has anyone met this problem or have any suggestions as to what is happening?

My Pinefone 64 with a early mobian (upgrade with apt) work very good.. then it crash..

I can't rebuilt mobian with timeshift.. at this time wlan and bt work.. 
I install the latest mobian.
Mobian 20220621 run, but wlan and BT dosen't work..?
I tried a old mobian again, and nothing.. WLAN and BT dont work.

What is wrong with wlan and bt?

I ve been testing 13 OS with no succes.

Code used : tinypilot and barrier.
