  About PINE64-LTS Operating Temperature
Posted by: spbrain - 12-27-2017, 06:59 AM - Forum: P64-LTS / SOPINE Hardware, Accessories and POT - Replies (2)

Hello.
I received PINE64-LTS board today.
I'm ready to develop Android System for PINE64-LTS.
I have one question.

In FAQ, operating temperature on PINE64 describe below
"What is Pine A64 operating temperature?
The Pine A64 operating temperature qualified range from -20°C to 70°C."

Is same on PINE64-LTS?

I know PINE64-LTS is better than PINE64+, so I think PINE64-LTS has same operating temperature as PINE64.

  Problems with Kickstarter Pledge
Posted by: danphuong34k - 12-27-2017, 06:51 AM - Forum: General Discussion on PINE A64(+) - Replies (1)

I were to pledge the amount of dollars required for two A64+ 2GB 'early-bird' boards ($58) and added the delivery fee for one board ($7 dollars to US) would I be able to recieve both of the boards (totalling $65), considering that they are both going to the same destination?

  How to install OpenGL
Posted by: pine3228 - 12-26-2017, 11:27 PM - Forum: General Discussion on ROCK64 - Replies (8)

Hello.
I have two "ROCK64 4 GB".
I recently installed lxde on "stretch-minimal-rock64-0.5.15-136-arm64".
Well, I thought that if you take advantage of the large capacity memory of ROCK64, "Minecraft" can be played.
"ROCK64" has "Mali 450" installed.
However, in order to run "Minecraft", installation of "Java" and "OpenGL" is necessary. Although Java installation succeeded,
I do not know how to install OpenGL.
Help me!
(* Because I am using Google translation, English sentences may be wrong. I'm sorry.

Looking for advice on power supply for a rack of 4+ Rock64's
Posted by: fwo19 - 12-26-2017, 09:49 PM - Forum: Rock64 Hardware and Accessories - Replies (4)

Was planning on using this USB charger with these USB => Barrel cables.

However I see in the PicoCluster assembly of Rock64 boards that there is some sort of power supply board riding on top. Anyone know what this is?

Anyone have any firsthand experience powering a rack of these babies?

Thanks!

I am posting here so that it gets the attention of those wanting to try out mainline. Anarsoul has released a new Arch Linux image for all A64 devices. Please read the changelog on his git so you know what you're getting into.

  Better root/unroot suggestion
Posted by: Blinky - 12-26-2017, 01:15 AM - Forum: Android on Rock64 - Replies (4)

It would be helpful to add a menu for easy root/unroot in Settings.

If user wants to unroot completely, it can remove /system/su; daemonsu files and SuperSU app then apps that detect root won't detect it anymore and will work.
Then when you root again, it can restore these files from a backup(zip file) so root can work again.

Will be much better than to use 2 different firmwares for root or an unrooted one.

need some help with a dpkg error
Posted by: dkryder - 12-25-2017, 03:09 PM - Forum: Linux on Rock64 - No Replies

i'm runing into an issue with the new stretch mate 0.5.15-136. i think the issue arose during the install of vlc media player which came pre-installed on the build but the install is reported as broken due to a problem with libgles1-mesa. when i try   "sudo apt --fix-broken install"  the repair process starts but halts

rock64@rock64:~/Downloads$ sudo apt --fix-broken install

as best i can tell is the issue is dpkg is trying to overwrite the current libmesgles1 , specifically the file '/usr/lib/aarch64-linux-gnu/libGLESv1_CM.so.1,  that is associated with vlc media player but errors out due to the file also being in the installed libmali from ayufan. here is the dpkg error,

dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/libgles1-mesa_13.0.6-1+b2_arm64.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/aarch64-linux-gnu/libGLESv1_CM.so.1', which is also in package libmali-rk-utgard-2th-r7p0:arm64 1.5-4ayufan12

the interesting thing about all this is i'm unable to install any packages due to this broken package issue until i fix this same file in two places and not alloed to update one of them because the same file is elsewhere and i guess 2 different builds of the same file can not exist at the same time even though in different directories   i'm not really sure of the resolution since i've never faced it and thought to report it in the forum before doing a net search. but i think the original install of vlc media player was broken due to libmali having the same file but probably a different build of the file than vlc media player.

so if anyone has any ideas i'd appreciate the help. thanks.

Hello together,

what have I to do, if I want to activate CVBS video output instead of HDMI? I'm using Linux.

Many thanks.
