Would like an Android TV device that doesn't suck - I've tried the MK808 (Wifi never worked), MiBox (netflix stopped working after a week), and this with no luck.
I haven't used the android build in a while, but with any SBC the most common pitfalls are dodgy power supply or crap microSD card. If you're using the stock power supply that shouldn't be an issue. Your existing card might be good for phones, cameras, etc, and even claim higher performance specs than the Samsung EVO series, but the card brand/type DOES matter, and is critical with Android as it is heavy on SD card usage. I didn't have any issues with my rock64s when I was trying some of the Android builds before. There has also just been a release of a Android 8.1 for the rock64 that might be worth trying
