Visible or viewable screen/image scale
#1
I apologize.  I am sure this has been dealt with already, but I don't know what search terms to use.
Please see the attachment for an visual explanation of my question/issue.
In my own terms, I am unable to view the entire Android image on either of my 1080P TV screens.  The image runs over into unviewable space.  I have been through the Android settings, but I haven't found anything to work toward solving this issue.

Any ideas?

This is TV legacy overscan issue. We currently work on new Android build that able to scale down full image to TV overscan windows and hopefully this build will release in two weeks time. The best way is check your TV setup and set to full screen mode.

Wow 2 weeks? At this rate we wont have this thing fully functional before January 2017. Are they addressing the limited resolution issue at the same time, i.e. will there be a way to run at 720p and other resolutions?!?

I also have the same issue with one of the TVs I am using my pine on. I also had the same issue connecting a computer running Ubuntu to said TV. Could not find options on the TV to correct the screen view, but I fixed it within Linux using the xrandr utility. Android is based off linux, maybe there is a way to use xrandr on a pine running android as a temporary fix until the new image is released.

Further to tllim's comment - some TVs/Monitors have scaling capabilities built into that can be found in OSD. It is usually called something like: Just Scan, Full Pixel or 1:1 Pixel Ratio. See if you TV/Monitor gives you this option.
You can find me on IRC, Discord and Twitter

Hi tllim
Are you also working on other resolutions,  apart from 1080p @60hz?

One build will be release today that support 720P. However, the boot up screen still in 1080p even the setting change to 720p, but the HDMI willl switch to 1080P when ether Android home screen. We will release on next build that set boot up screen to 720p.
