"Repository" for Safe Software/Apps?

"Regarding your question there should be such a software manager too, it's probably called "Discover". You can also install Firefox from there."

And so any app I see in Discover is safe to install as far as being confident it doesn't have viruses/spyware or whatever, right? Because it's a Linux repository?
