They probably want to know the real price. Show them the PayPal stuff.

What is going on. I sent an email to sales@pine asking for shipping information, tracking, anything on phone since I never got an email (that should have simply been sent out to customers) from a pre-order from like April 2nd.
And the response I get is that they are going to cancel my otrder. Total ridiculous. Can someone at pine who is a moron, please check their sales email. This is really poor. way to go. There wouldn't have been any problem is pine just responsibly followed up with an email to people who spend their time and money attempting to be enthusiastic and support their products.

Excuse typo, apparently I am annoyed. "And the response I get is that they are going to cancel my order. Total ridiculous. Can someone at pine who is NOT a moron, please check their sales email."

The coronavirus + HK protests are probably just making things a bit more slow an unpredictable - also with DHL. And I totally agree with you, I think Luke and everyone at Pine64 are doing an amazing job! The phone really isn't expensive, and these are not normal circumstances. Still, they are providing us with frequent updates about shipping (I doubt it's easy to get that info from huge companies like DHL and Asendia), pictures from the factory and other useful updates.

My fears are the phone will just be returned to sender given the amount of work needed to obtain the missing documents is too much in the current world situation. We had a couple of such cases in my company. No one bothered to contact us to ask for further information. They just returned the parcels. [/quote] This happens a lot in the uk with products over like $40 from china, call the customs people they probably dont even need documents but are working out how much they need to charge you. Not sure about spain but over here they send you a letter in the post about a week later and ask you to pay 20% + a handling fee (06-11-2020, 12:51 AM)linuxd Wrote: What is going on. Yeah. I am just hoping for some info as well. As far as I can interpret, DHL PinePhone orders (or at least, notifications) should have already been sent out on either 6/5 or 6/6, according to the 6/4 update? I still have received nothing as far as updates go, and people are reporting having already received their units. If this is normal, then that's totally fine by me. Just simply hoping to get that affirmation (or ping the appropriate parties if we slipped through the cracks). Good luck, linuxd! Hope your case gets sorted.

Any idea if there will be an official post saying something like, "All DHL pre-orders placed by the May 22 deadline have been dispatched. Please contact support if you have not received your notification"?

I had to telephone DHL They already knew how much the pinephone had cost. They just wanted to know if it was for commercial use and that I agreed on their making the customs clearance. After two hours the phone exited the customs office. I had to pay 48€ (35€ customs tax). Apparently these guys from DHL customs service in Madrid work on a pull basis, not on a push basis as the parcel tracking system suggests...

Hi, I upgraded to DHL today. Since you wait for at least 1000 people to send it, can we know how many we are today? 2? 5? 100? 200? How many? So as to estimate an approximate timing. Thanks so much
