You would need to upgrade it to a 2K panel (not feasible with power etc) to see any real improvement.
Otherwise it will have to be a high quality IPS panel.
The stock screen is actually really bright - brighter than on many $400 laptops, not sure of the nits.
The colours are reasonable - a bit harsh and unrealistic but still just fine.
IMO the screen is really not one of the main issues with this laptop.
The trackpad and build quality are much larger issues,
....but still screen swap is a cool experiment - if you do it let us know how it goes please.
