Yeah consider it triage to slow the bleeding. It works for huge forums like http://forum.xda-developers.com/ they deal with millions of posts.
For example I own an LG G4 when I go to the LG G4 general forum there they have a Sticky rollup thread that links to 90% of what people need to know http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/gener...d-t3128004
This way you arent recreating all the good content that is already here. Just making it really fast and easy to find for the search impaired. Also search doesnt always work for everything.
