4.X Kernel?

Is there work in progress for a more modern 4.X Kernel for the Pine64? Maybe even for the Pinebook or did everyone move to the Rockchips?
If there is a development happening how can one support that?

Anarsoul is about to push an updated mainline image and there is one coming from Armbian. There are also other third party devs working on mainline images for the Pinebook.
