Bluetooth CSR8510 not working with Rock64 Android 7.1

Hello Guys,

I have the Rock64 with the last version of Android installed on it. All is good excepted that my CSR8510 BT dongle is not working. I tried everything i can see on my rasperry pie with no issue but not on Rock64. 
Anybody has any BT working on this platform on Android ?

For now, it is a limitation in Android. Support should be coming later for Wifi/Bluetooth, but I can't say when. I look forward to it though.

Does Android still not support the CSR 8510 bluetooth dongle? Just asking as the last report was Oct 2017 and said updates were coming. It is April 2018.

I have the CSR 8510 USB dongle plugged in directly to the top USB port of the Rock64. Using Android TV, there is no response. When I click the Bluetooth button in ATV, it slides to on for about 10 seconds then reverses by itself and slides back to off. It doesn't matter if it is in the top usb, bottom usb, or in the blue usb 3.0 port. None of them work with the CSR8510. There is no error message or anything like that in Android Tv.

Does anyone know how to get the usb dongle to work?

According to posts here in Rock64's community forum area that the Bluetooth usb dongle is functional in Linux so one can port the Linux driver to Android:

That is how to do it however I am currently not available to work on that type and scope of project but it probably wouldn't take a whole long time in the right hands. It helps to be familiar with embedded concepts of Bluetooth.

I was curious if anyone has tried to compile

and then use ADB or fastboot from the Android SDK to sideload the kernel and try to get the bluetooth working? I haven't been able to do the experiment yet.
