USB C to USB C charging not working.

hello sorry if this has been answered but i couldnt find the info..my friend gave me his old mobian edition pine phone..it works great exept for it will only charge usb a to usb c and will not charge usb c to usb c...is this hardware firmware or OS? i have pbooted pmos currently running. thank you.

Are you sure your USB-C charging cable is good? The only time I had a problem with USB-C charging on my pinephone was when the cheap cable I bought from eBay went bad.

what? so consensus is pine phone cant charge usb c to usb c?

USB C charging works via a negotiated protocol. Pine devices don't support it. (Some might? I don't know)
The reason you can use a wall wart is that they will send power even if the negotiation fails. Other devices don't (and shouldn't). |
