Hello, I can't get my Manjaro Pine Phone to ring when getting a call. I've tried everything on the phone, but please can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong. There was an update last Friday, but I don't know if that was the cause.
Chris
You could install pulse audio volume control pavucontrol. This will allow you to check the profile in use and test the speakers...
Are you with regular PP (not Pro?) ?
Are you with Manjaro Phosh stable?
(There was some sound issues in Manjaro Phosh dev but new upgrade should fix them)
If you are on stable please double check that you have not toggled profile to silent/quiet from quick settings.
Also double check that you have volume on.
If sound is otherwise working you might have something wrong with sound theme.
What do you get when you put this to terminal?
gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.sound theme-name
Do you have something in /home/manjaro/.local/share/sounds/
?
In my experience most reliable combo for callaudio (including audio in calls but also with ringtones etc.) is pipewire, pipewire-pulse and pipewire-media-session
With default pulseaudio there use to be some stability issues - most likely those are fixed - but with default pulseaudio you can't change volume levels during calls while with pipewire-pulse & pipewire-media-session combo you can.
