on screen keyboard woes

Recent updates broke our on screen keyboards. The top row composing of the arrow keys in Console windows disappears. While in portrait mode the on on screen keyboard consumes the majority of the screen. Do we have fixes?

Work around by tapping globe to the left of space bar. Pick terminal keyboard.
