Godot is a open source game engine available on other OS's, If you have a interest in developing games maybe its worth checking out and seeing if games can be exported and edited to work on Mobian, UBports etc. There is even a repo for it to make it available on the Raspberry Pi.
Regarding development on UBports you might want to check this out, this was posted by him somewhere else on the forums as well. Interesting read, it is also lengthy.

It doesn't seem like UBports team is making the Pinephone a priortiy, you would think they would make open source phones a priority and on top of that, the reported 40 to 45K they received from the CE edition phones.
