Mobian September 01, 2021
#1
Just flashed a September 01 Nightly to an sd card,  running on a Pine Manjaro Convergent phone.

It did the normal disk 'resizing',     But there was no pop-up to help put the basic information into the phone.

Now there is not a flashlight app on the desktop,  or in the onboard Software Store. ?

I did the "Updates" via   settings > about > update,  that went normally  using the wifi...

I attempted to use the cell/data after putting in my APN info, and turned on mobile data,  both Epiphany and Firefox would not load.

Then turned wifi back on,  Epiphany loaded...  turned wifi off again,  mobile data back on,    this time Epiphany loaded via cell/data.

Calls work both directions,  while the other person can hear me clearly, and they sound clear to me,  but I sound distorted to myself on the ear piece.

The text works, both in and out.  ...

AND  in the Power App,  with wifi off,  data off  just the modem on,
While running on the battery,     it is showing between 2.0 and 2.2 watts of discharge. !

That is getting the power consumption down,  a bit lower with each release.

For what it's worth, the flashlight should be working from the drop down menu (or notification menu whatever it's called). Also, if you go to Mobile settings (inside of your Settings) and change Network Mode to 3G, 4G (Preferred) it really helps the call audio. I've also found that after setting my APN it took a bit of time before it properly connected but has been working fine for about 2 months or so.

Thanks for the info on the pull down, there is the "Torch"
I was pretty tired, but determined to try the September 01 nightly release.
Seems to be drawing less power on this release.

Using one of my test phones at the moment.
I have it set to see most of the page, but it is hard to make out the tiny print !
On a Manjaro Convergent phone, September 01 nightly Mobian release on an
sd card, Pure Talk for data connection.

If you just want to read the forum, landscape mode works pretty well.
but in landscape mode when you pop up the keyboard you cannot see much of anything... so I end up using portrait mode if I want to write anything
