Hi All,

I've been pine user now for a little while and I've been through all of the all the "aaaaahhhhhh" moments, and I've built up a little bit "and I mean a little bit" of know how on the device. It occurred to me that if people are having issues with the Pine's I may be able to help...

The important bit's are....

I have a know working power supplier.
I have a few know working SD card with boot images.
I have a working display with the right HDMI cables.
I have a serial port setup for monitoring the boot from the EXP UART port
I have working 1GB Eithernet.
and I'll have a power monitor set up tomorrow.

With this lot I can test DOA issues people are having...

I guess we could also start the Kent User Group....

Let me know if your near me a need a little help....

It's been a few years since I was asked for ID in a pub Smile , my first programming job was machine code programming on a PDP 11..... It was this post and the lake of response to it that made me think if the Pine Tracker idea.

I work in London, so maybe London should be the location of the first UK Pine User Group meeting.

Ha!

The Pine Tracker idea is great - I understand that you exchanged PMs with Lenny re its implementation on his site?

About the group meetup I suggest waiting a little so that all backers receive their boards and some of the first regular orders get out the door. How bout you start a thread about it in social networking? : http://forum.pine64.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=31

My favourite pub in London: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.510470...312!8i6656

Yep, I'll follow up this weekend with him, I've got some code working as a prototype, so will discuss any hosting restrictions he has.

Think Lenny has been quite busy with work and finishing off the tutorials for the site.
Yea, I think the thread is a good idea - lets see how many people are interested to make the trip/ live nearby.
Drop by on IRC if you can - would like to chat.

Cheers!
