pmbootstrap to sdcard

I too will give up for now... I guess I will check back in later... maybe it’s possible to just make some flashable imgs?  Or improve the tool?

As for "improving the tool", there is nothing really wrong with it. The errors you're having seem to not be the fault of pmbootstrap. Running it on Ubuntu Touch especially is just a non-tested or supported setup.

I've tried multiple times to install both the phosh and plasma versions but it always stops at this line

(rootfs_pine64-pinephone) mkinitfs postmarketos-allwinner

After looking into this, I found a suggestion to use the -t option but now it just sits there forever (I'm talking about hours).

I get the same results with phosh and plasma-mobile. I'm using Kubuntu 19.10, with all recommended dependencies.

I also ran the pmbootstrap update command


Is there any way to get past this?

Make sure your pmaports is updated as well (pmbootstrap pull), then zap your chroots (pmbootstrap -y zap -hc -dpmo), then try again.

I did this and re-tried the install and it finally worked.

Yep! It's simple as that!

Can you help. I'm all ways get errors when i u mount sd card its says that directory not found when i live it mounted its saying can not format. am i missing some thing? tnx

I also had something like that. In my case I had to format the card to ext4. Then it worked (the card should not be mounted)
