@GloriousCoffee, you might try different Linux distros, (but only from ones that are known to support the Pinebook Pro).
Perhaps one of them has >4K support. Even if you chose not to use that distro, it would point us to one that has the "fix" in it, (if there is a "fix"). We could then open a bug report and describe it better, for the more common distros, (Debian & Manjaro).
