Imperfection on the pcb

Were there any issues with this connector that would require such a hotfix? Or am i just unlucky to get a board which wasn't process correctly by the machine? (https://github.com/Kreyren/pinetime/issues/8)

It is used only for charging so I guess if you stack the charger, watch back and watch front together and you can see the device charge then it is working electrically. On the other hand its pretty odd to see a blob of solder on the pad (it is just a blob of solder, right?). IMHO this sort of thing should not be happening during manufacturing.

Confirm it works using it for 4th day now ^^ > (it is just a blob of solder, right?) Seems to be a gold plated plate sordered on the board. > . Agree that's why i want to know why would this needed in case this could conflict with the development (i.e manufacturing error on X boards that might affect the runtime somewhere else, etc..)

Didn't think much of it, my device is working as expected.

On mine there's no blob, and the 5V and G pads both look like the G pad in the photo, with a bit more of a gap between them. Is it perhaps rework for a faulty 5V pad?

Mine also has no blob of solder, it looks like the picture in the Wiki.
