I've had the issues with Firefox crashing on every launch (updated the OS and ran MrFixIt's update). I tried removing it and reinstalling, but there doesn't seem to be a compatible Firefox that I can find.
Is the version in the default OS a customized version? Even if not, where do I get a version I can install?
The Bionic version works well, but it is a more recent version than the Debian 9 version.
maybe we should have a newer version that comes with Debian 10?
Update from today, v1.5, will install the latest available firefox version
Appreciate the update, but no luck for me. I had Firefox-esr installed after a failed attempt to get the browser back. I ran the update script and it ran successfully, but Firefox still errored out and no attempt at updating/upgrading or reinstalling changes that.
Decided that since I bought a Pinebook Pro I should probably stop being so lazy about this stuff. I read MrFixit's update script and found that it was checking which version had been run previously on the system. Renamed the thing it was checking for and ran the update script again - Firefox is back and working (in safe mode). Version 1.5 seems to have remedied my issue.
TL;DR - if you have a Firefox install that wasn't part of the default image, remove it before upgrading to 1.5.
" gah.your tab just crashed" when trying to get on youtube or trying play bitchute vids with that new firefox.deb in the updated stock debian os
