Any update now as the 2 months are up?

Considering the reason news of the death of Gene Wilder, probably one of the greatest comedy actors that ever live, I would surely go back to that pattern and give this the name WILDER what a way to honor Willy Wonka himself.

Poking a moot point: I nominate Kevin Hart. He's small, funny, contemporary, and frugal.
Not that there seems to be a Chromium OS coming to the pine64 anytime soon. Chromiumosforsbc.org itself is "under construction." That's the information. I hope they are doing well, and I want them to succeed. I went to the site (2016/09/30) to learn more, but all I learned is that it is under construction. Let us know if we can help. David

Yep. I've (finally) learned that eyes and heart make for a start, but experience is always sane.
In other words: action is the sanity check of my ideas. I do not really know anything about Chromium OS. But if its a pseudo-open distribution, ehh. I think the idea is that it has google juice behind it, but from what I gathered from the post, it does not. To me, it seems pine64, being newly arrived, is at the build environment stage of life, in which we are knitting together software kit from the rest of the GNU/Linux universe into our particular requirements. Until we get full utilization out of our hardware resources — which we are not getting right now — it will be in this stage. Once we get that worked out, we'll become a viable platform for software distributions. Our use of distributions currently are little more than build environments. Heck, I cannot even get kodi to work, though it does "run." I'm using mplayer (ffmpeg) from bash to watch stuff, which is kind of what I do anyway. If the original poster is watching, let us know if we can help. And your help is welcome. Well, rather strangely, although the link is supposed to be on the project website, they apparently released a image back in April, but that would have been for the RPi... I really don't know what's going on there... as there isn't really a lot activity going on... I half wonder if our leg is being pulled!

I belive that tohipfortheroom - the person behind the project - has fallen severely ill.

I just sent him a message on Facebook to check if he's okay and get a general status on the project.
