I submitted a Zoom request on my Zoom pro account.  Please consider doing the same.

I can also verify Google Meet works, and I highly recommend it.  Google Meet seems to work on just about every platform.

I tried Zoom with Chromium and you can access it without a dedicated client.
But only audio was working and it also crashed quite quickly.
With FF it only said I needed to download the client (which isn't available for ARM Linux).

Hello,
Even I am having issue's with zoom on browser, I was expecting it to work with chromium but it doesn't
I found a link on zoom forum someone asking for it to work on RPI

Zoom for RPI4 Linux > https://devforum.zoom.us/t/have-you-cons...em/14257/4

Follow the link provided in this forum. It is a feedback form to submit request.

I've been able to use zoom directly on chromium browser by following this:

Open your browser, navigate to join.zoom.us, and enter the meeting ID and password; if you have received an email invitation, you can click directly on the meeting request URL in the email.

Click on the ‘Cancel’ button when prompted to ‘Open xdg-open’ by Zoom

Then, when you get asked to ‘Open xdg-open?’ in the system dialog that opens, click on ‘Cancel’.

Next click on the ‘click here’ link near the bottom of the page where it says “If nothing prompts from browser, click here to launch the meeting…”. Another ‘Open xdg-open?’ system dialog will open, and you need to click on ‘Cancel’ again.

Then you should see a new “start from your browser” link in really small font at the bottom of the page. Go ahead and click on the this link.

Your Zoom meeting should now start normally in your browser.

good to know there's a way to do it, but damn that's an annoying amount of steps to get a working in-browser option!

My workaround:
Opening a Zoom link only gives me a mostly grey page in Chromium.

1. Open the Zoom-Link in Firefox. Here it will show me a  "join from your browser" link.
2. Copy that link and open it in Chromium.
Everything worked fine: video, audio, chat, screenshare(incl. sharing just the window of one app)

Another way is to just modify the link (which should work as well if you only have the room id).

standard Zoom-link: https://zoom.us/j/xxxxxxxxxxxxx?pwd=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
change to:                https://zoom.us/wc/join/xxxxxxxxxxxxx?pwd=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

those of you using the in-browser zoom, are you getting audio? in firefox i get nothing. in chromium i can hear others, but they can't hear me (debian). I ended up dialing in by phone but it's a bit of a pain in the rear.

I'm using in-browser zoom and getting audio but it crashes often, making it rather unusable. Also the webcam seems to have problems at night (not light sensitive enough?). Also the sound is very weak, probably solved elsewhere but haven't found a solution yet.

I hate to say it, but try Manjaro.  This is the one thing I could never get to work in Debian, but did get it to work in Manjaro.  No, I wasn't using Zoom (can't recall the name of the similar web-app) but had the same exact issue.

Same here on Manjaro. It works but crashes a lot.
