Overview images & which run from sdcard?

All of ayufan's images boot from SD. It was only the first two(or possibly three) pine64 images which would automatically install to the eMMC instead of directly booting. ayufan's images instead have an option to install to the eMMC, which requires an active internet connection as it downloads the latest image by default.

So if I run a SDCARD Image I can still install it on the eMMC?
