It had script to update uboot and the kernel to the latest version... They all updated fine.
Network does work, but normally the link light shouldn't blink... it gives the impression the cables is being constantly disconnected.
According to http://files.pine64.org/doc/datasheet/pi...et_1.6.pdf it looks as if the LED functions can be customized by altering registers. See page 43 top of page for what you are likely looking for.
A lot of this functionality is going to just be default setup as provided by Realtek
Interesting. Section 7.13 states default led configuration... to me it sounds like a defective network card. Default stated led 0 blinking on transmit and led 1 high or low depending on link state... connected or not... but on my card... both lights blinks randomly. The cable is fine... I used the old cable of my old server... wich hasn't been yet replaced by the pine64.
