If it's booting from the internal storage it's not finding, or running into problems trying to run, the bootloader on the SD (or, less likely, that the bootloader on the SD is configured to boot the OS on the eMMC.) That probably means it wasn't written properly, but it could be a problem with the downloaded image, or even the SD card.
