This is why you need a storage medium formatted to ext4 as the partition is 9GB big and your standard FAT format will not allow a file that big.

6. Use "Disks" to write the image to the phone.
7. Use "Disks" to restore the "userdata" backup you created earlier on.
This worked perfectly for me and is a good guide for future backups (before anything goes wrong).
