I thought they were interesting sounding when I heard them. They sound phasey; as if the sound in one speaker is traveling through the case to the other speaker. I'm also curious why an upfiring design wasn't used. That would most certainly make a huge difference. I've heard it is possible to drill holes opposite the speakers and flip them yourself, but I'm too much in love with the aesthetic to do so. I may try to baffle the underside of the speakers somehow and see if that improves things, but I'm afraid of adding heat. ?
