Hi there,
I'm happy to help the porting process and have extensive experience in both Linux/android and Windows development as well as general programming and app development (java, c/c++, php, web Dev, assembler etc etc). Also, I will be buying one of the $89 touchscreen A64+ models as well for my own use so I see it as being in my best interest to make sure that the board lives upto it's expectations.
I was thinking that first of all a stable method of booting multiple OS's on the a64 would be beneficial (so that people who want to code in Linux and then try out their apps on Android for example) can do so from one device with relative ease. Also it'll make porting quicker if we can go from one Linux OS to the one we're porting whilst it's in alpha to make quick changes to code/configuration files etc. Also a boot manager with support for Windows IOT if the pine will support it would also be a good idea too. I've had a brief look into uboot and it does appear to be a good starting point, even more so if it will handle booting to android and a Microsoft OS with some adjustment.
Let me know what you need and i'll do my best to help!
David (Kommander)
Also, as I'm Director of an IT software development company I'm happy do do any development that requires access to confidential code bases and sign the associated NDA's where necessary. I realise that some code is provided to yourselves as system builders confidentially, however it ties our hands somewhat without access to certain low level code. As someone in the business so to speak I'm happy to do what I can to bridge the gap.
Hope that is useful in some way,
Kommander
