the problem with saying it was an android board is that pine64 says it is best to run android on the plus board only due to memory constraints. this sort of leaves other OS options a necessity for the other 2 boards. the android aspect was based on the media center concept. i checked the kickstarter page and it seems clear that ubuntu is marketed as an option as well as openhab and also other linux distros. if all products were marked with whatever disclaimers were needed then the purchasing decisions would have been much easier and there would have been, imo, a big reduction in frustrations about what can, and can not, be done with any given product and a clearer understanding of what works with what. since in some cases there is advice given about what is needed to me it is a simple lack of communication by a new startup which is understandable. i do think that going forward to have all products clearly described will be a great benefit to pine64.
