When I checked the ESS Technology DAC product page, the ES9023 was not listed:

Is it being going to be discontinued?

The ES9023 DAC should be still an active product, I will check with ESS to reconfirm.

Agree low costs and god performance DAC i2s board , is pine64 project.
and  ES9023 DAC sound is not too bad !

if you design ES9023  DAC i2s for pine64  you will support Volumio ?

if you can , try give Development board to Volumio or contact they
