What I ended up doing is getting a larger momentary switch and running 2 wires to it so I could place the switch where ever I wanted. This allows me to turn on and off the system with the battery attached (See first pic in post http://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=1429 ). Other wise you will have to put a SPST switch inline with the positive or negitive battery wire to shut it off but that disables charging when you want the screen off. Definitely best is to somehow wire a momentary switch to the board so you get full functionality from it.
