I think the best way is to follow the danctnx git at codeburg. https://codeberg.org/DanctNIX/Pine64-Arch
I really dont know why everything her on pine64 forum has died down so badly.
At least they got bluetooth working a few nonths ago, still I would really like the camera to work as it makes QR codes which I end up using quite often to instant transfer short stuff like URLs. The camera is important, though getting stable WiFi and Bluetooth are the biggest deal, it seems that Mobian has given up on all three which is really too bad as the hardware is pretty cool for the price and I am a debian user, I prefer not to have to learn all of the arch tricks.
you could try the latest, there are recent releases, also mention here in the pine64 blog though I dont have a matrix account so cant see what danctnix is doing. https://pine64.org/2026/05/18/may_2026_quick/ (can pine64 and danctnix just post what is happening and not put it behind a wall?)
I guess I have given up on pine64 too when they wouldnt warranty a brand new pinephone pro mainboard when the modem failed(they said get help on the forums, I was the PP modem person on this forum), which is too bad as I like the inexpensive hardware aimed at 100% non android free secure bootloader up linux install(mimimum blobs) and no creepy enemy modem running it's own spy OS in the DMA loop.
