I got the dead tablet working. The heat from melting the plastic did not affect the motherboard after all.
I delved deep and learned and deduced quite a bit to get
the tablet running. In the end the whole boot process
and how to resolve boot issues and determine if a tablet
is dead is pretty straight forward.
I also discovered, to a point, what kind of feedback to expect from the table in minicom.
Maybe pine can take the time to put together a clear cut guide on this to save people a lot of time and frustration not to mention data.
