You are right, I didn't realize that the Danial Thompson installer was on
the sd card, and I tried again ... and failed
Probably because of sd boot, your git is on emmc (which is where I started at)
---- in section >>>>> installing base system
E: no such script: /usr/share/debbootstrap/scripts/bookworm

so I copied this and debian-common to sd .....but then

release signed by unkown key ..... f8d2585b8783g481
which probably comes back to Daniel Thompson

I'm guessing I should install git on sd card after renaming original?
