Will the PineNote have handwriting recognition software?
it would be useful if it could do something like Palm Pilot graffiti or like Windows PocketPC 3 ways to recognize handwriting. This would replace the need for a keyboard for my use.

Palm had to change their system because of patents.  The field is rather full...
Actual HWR is a pain.  A neural network accelerator on the pinetab could help, but the training set would need send off somewhere else (cloud, attached machine).
And then there's what *I* want:  Draw a box with my lousy, caffeine-shaky hand and have it turn into a box.  Add cross-lines and have those be snapped to the box, guessing that I want them equally-spaced.  And then add text in the boxes by writing.  After the fact (for me, others may want immediate) wrap the text sensibly while expanding the boxes sensibly.  So a technical sketching tool.
Not at all PineNote-specific, but I'd prefer a non-glowing screen for this work.  Color would be great (DES slurry), but, ya know.
