Package says $25USD gift. CBSA valued it at $197.04CAD after I mailed them proof of purchase. Without doing this they would have sent it back to pine64.

GST/HST = $25.62
Handling fee = $9.95

total = $35.57 CAD

in the end, I have my pinePhone!!

I sent a proof of purchase as well last Friday but no news since then Sad , when did you receive an answer from the CBSA?

CZ EU
I had to pay cca. 41 EUR.
Considering poor Czech post services I would prefer to have a choice.

Since the austrian customs couldn't get any information from pine64 they now sent a letter to me (3 weeks later). Now I have to proof what the phone's cost really is. THis is a really tedious procedure don't you think?

Same happened to me. Fortunately, my phone only stuck for a couple of days before I received the letter, where I was asked to send the receipt and proof of payment.

Austria:

import VAT: 27,05 €
+ 10 € for the postal service

They never said anything to me. I did call the number on the notice Tuesday morning and they knew what I was talking about as soon as I said cellphone. He said they released them all Monday.

I believe the office is in Montreal and as I'm only a couple hours away its reasonable to me that it showed up Tuesday. I guess you're a little further away?

The Canada post guy showed up a couple hours after I called and let me pay at the door so that was nice.

I had the same experience in Toronto (needed to send receipt; ended up paying $35.57). Details on timing: https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?...7#pid60877

Thanks for the info! Indeed I'm in Vancouver, I guess I'll just have to wait one more week.

Do you happen to know why all the tracking information is gone now (screenshot attached)? I sent the payment confirmation and the invoice to the customs office and a week later all tracking info is gone. Sad
