Alsamixer - can't select with keys

I'm trying to adjust speaker and headphone volume with alsamixer.

But  it is stuck at the "Master" output, and the Left, Right, Up, Down keys don't work.

How can I get alsamixer working?

I assume that you are not using KDE Neon, since the "speaker" keys (under the function keys) works well on KDE Neon.

I'm using Q4OS with Trinity Desktop.

The Fn+F3/F4 keys do nothing.
