New Version of Volumio for SOPine / LTS
12-09-2020, 03:47 PM
Pine64, pine64plus, sopine64 and pine64lts Volumio support has been upgraded to a kernel 5.7.19 version for each board.
The images mentioned cannot be upgraded from an earlier (3.10 kernel based) version. Re-flashing is a must. Supported Volumio features: - fully functional as of current Volumio/ myVolumio 2.857 (20201209) Supported, pine64-specific: * audio: i2s, spdif, hdmi --->>> the sound quality will be the most brilliant part of this update. * wifi: pine64 wifi/bluetooth module (rtl8723bs) plus what else kernel 5.7.y offers * boot from SD * boot from eMMC (soPine64/Pine64LTS) Tested: sopine64/pine64lts, pine64+ * Pine64 should also work, but not verified (lacking hardware). * eMMC on sopine64/pine64lts works, but does not support full use of hs200/hs400 modules. * Bluetooth has been configured, but might need extra config for myVolumio (to be supplied). sopine64 and pine64lts share the same image, so do pine64 and pine64plus. * sopine64 and pine64lts image >> download link for soPine64 and Pine64LTS * pine64 and pine64plus image >> download link for Pine64 and Pine64+

@gkkpch
Nice I will prepare a sd-card and try this volumio on my Pine64+ this evening. Looking forward to the sound that comes out of it.

Boots fine on my pine64+ but I only have headphones out, I can't chose hdmi or the pine64 audio pot board.
