ANALOG(DAC) L,R NOT WORK no sound

ANALOG AUDIO OUT (  Headphone )WORK

Thank , this is good start

Hey Joe,
Go to the playback options and enable Volume Normalization, that should fix your webradio issue.
Working coaxial/ toslink puzzles me, both give no peep here, on the other hand: I have no issues with RCA.

Let's wait for some more feedback. Do you have a chance to test another simple i2s DAC?

@ gkkpch

Thank your support
enable volume normalization fixed it  the sound volume is ok now .

And first i haven't peep the coaxial is work or not Big Grin   because i tested many times RAC not work ( for me ) , so i test other . Sad

Unfortunately i haven't another i2s DAC Undecided

And this pine64 audio board have jumper , do i need to set ?

@ Luke
Have you try the RAC is work ?

Hey Joe, I am away from home until the end of the week - will check on Monday and report back :Smile
But it looks like others have gotten it to work and if Ge says it works then it must work Tongue

@ Joe, check that you have a jumper set to MCLK (not 50M!!) and the other to I2S.

@ Luke: "quick" try with sopine after changing the bootloader and u-boot:
boot from SD is perfect! Everthing works, also with the DAC, all the same as Pine64 plus.
But no luck with eMMC yet, it locates u-boot ok, but can't load it.
Soon as I have some time in between, I'll try a community image first.
When SD is ok, then there can't be much work left for eMMC.
Do you have an LTS or soPine to try a dev image for me next week?

@ gkkpch

i set it MCLK and I2S to tested sure not work  RAC ( For me ) Sad
Thank you reply me
If I am wrong please correct my content , thank !

1. Use Pine64 Running Ubuntu 16.04 Web Server ( LAMP )

2. Use Pine64 Running Official Android 6  for Media player
3. Use Pine64 Running Volumio Digital Audio Player

Ge, sure thing - will test right after I get back and report back in this thread.
If it works on the SoPine then it will work on the LTS.

As for booting from eMMC on the SoPine/LTS - think reaching out to ayufan would be the best option. There were some issues with booting from eMMC and compatibility, which have been resolved in the recent build
Edit: since Volumio is running on an older kernel (3.10.104), perhaps fixes are not in to run off of eMMC ?

It doesn't get to u-boot yet. As for @ayufan, I saw he patched a number of things (mmc timing issues amoungst it) since he forked his u-boot from longsleep's, so I will give his version a go.
When still not working, I'll get in touch with him.

Thanks - Gé

All issues with soPine solved  Big Grin

It is happily booting from eMMC or SD and playing music via DAC.
Luke will verify for us that it works with pine64 LTS as well.

This is where you can get the image  soPine version 2.314
Don't forget to enable Volume Normalization in  the Playback Options, also valid for the image below.

There is an updated version for pine64: Pine version 2.315
(Uses the same kernel as sopine/LTS, also functionally equal and no differences with the version previously published)

Please report any issues you may find.

@joe
Sorry, I have no clue why your DAC is not working the way it should and can't help you right now.
My DAC is a pre-production version, perhaps the reason why S/PDIF would not work???
Anyway, as soon as I have a production unit, I'll test again.

ssh is disabled by default, I'm not going to repeat here how to enable it, for that we have the Volumio documentation

Just got home and flashed Volumio. Everything including S/PDIF and coax works. Great work!
I am having some issues with the LCD but it will take some time for me to determine if that's just on my end or if the problem is elsewhere. I will let you know.

Hello,

I installled Pine version 2.315, it works fine with the pine dac.

I have tried the plugin 'IR remote controller', to see if I could use the pine 64 remote.

it doesn't work, any idea ?

thanks,
Mathias

Probably not integrated. Try install LIRC and take it from there ?

Hi mat1

You works mean is RAC /S/PIDF /Coaxial? Or all works?

Thanks
