folder, and this is also possible using Portfolio. There was a situation that it didn't work. I realized that you need to uninstall Addon Phosh OSK via the software app.

Finally, it is necessary to log out the user or restart the system.

With the current Phosh the included on-screen terminal keyboard has changed and while most of the improvements are great where is my unix up-key?
I like to up/down to scroll for my previous inputs. Also what is the left/righ arrow key next to A?

With phosh and squeekboard, just create your own layout. Here is mine.

On finding the "new and improved" keyboard in Trixie I immediately returned back to squeekboard. Precisely as the "Terminal" layout on the default OSK was so bad.

There are instructions as to how to go back to squeekboard this in one of the Wikis.

TBH I have never been terribly impressed with squeekboard but apparently it seems that developers can enshittify anything these days.
