Does anyone know if the app from Victron Energy works on the PinePhone Pro?

Victron makes devices for solar energy and the app connects to their devices and their database of daily statistics.

It is generally safe to assume that Android or iOS apps do not work. Android apps may or may not work under Waydroid, and if they run, their functionality may or may not be limited. But they will not run natively on the system. iOS apps will not run at all.

Unfortunately, that AppImage is almost certainly built for x86_64 and will not run on aarch64 (64-bit ARM), at least not without using really slow software CPU emulation.
