I've found the maddest, yet most reliable, method of getting text input in to anbox.

Install this https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.andr...bkeyboard/
(either from the f-droid app or using adb)

Then open a terminal window, and use
Code:
adb shell input text <yourtexthere>
