Supply DC power to Pine64 via Pi-2 Connector & Euler Bus?
#1
The Pi-2 connector of Pine64 has Pin 2 & 4 labeled as "5V", and Pin 6, 9, 14, 20 as "GND".
The Euler bus connector has Pin 2 & 4 as "DC IN", and Pin 6, 9, 14, 20 as "GND".

So, questions:
1. Can I supply regulated 5V DC to power the whole board via Pin 2/4 of Pi-2 or Euler bus connectors?
2. Do these pins have the same 2A current rating as the micro USB power jack?

MicroUSB is only rated at 1.8A, and most microUSB connectors are hopeless. You are much better off using the euler or rPi headers for power.

The pins are more than up to the task, and if you are concerned, simply use two. You have two DC_IN pins and two GND pins in close proximity on the euler bus. I have powered the pine64 using the rPi header, but find the euler bus handier as it frees up the rpi header if you intend to put a hat or adapter on the rpi bus.

Thanks, your answer helps. I will save some money not buying micro USB cords, they are expensive.
