Existings disks and using a StarTech SATA Controller
#1
Hello! I have seen some success in the forums getting SATA controllers to run. Saw this thread: https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=7777

I am thinking about transfering some existing Linux Software RAID drives to a box with a RockPro64. Couple questions:

1. I'm thinking about this card: https://www.startech.com/en-us/cards-ada...-sata-card Any experiences with it? Chipsets are Pericom - PI7C9X2G608GP and ASMedia - ASM1061

2. The disks are currently in an Intel system. Will they be auto-recognized in the new system? No weird Intel to ARM transition issues?

3. I'm thinking about using an existing case and power supply. Is there an ATX to barrel connector adapter for the five volt rail?

Thanks!
Sorry, meant the 12 volt rail.
